আজকে আমার বক্তব্যের বিষয় হল ২৬ শে মার্চ বা স্বাধীনতা দিবস সম্পর্কে। আমরা সবাই জানি, ১৯৭১ সালের কথা। পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানিরা আমাদের দেশ এবং দেশের মানুষের সাথে কতটা অমানবিক নির্যাতন করেছিল। কিন্তু আমরা বাঙালিরা তাদের সেই নির্যাতন মুখ বুজে সহ্য করিনি।

তাদের অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ করে আমরা ছিনিয়ে এনেছি আমাদের স্বাধীনতা। ১৯৪৭ সালে দেশ ভাগ হবার পর থেকে আমাদের দেশ চলে যায় পাকিস্তানিদের হাতে। তখন দুই দেশের নাম রাখা হয় পূর্ব পাকিস্তান এবং পশ্চিম পাকিস্তান। তখন থেকেই আমাদের দেশের মানুষ নির্যাতিত হতে থাকে পাকিস্তানিদের হাতে।

১৯৭১ সালের ২৫ শে মার্চ দিনটি তখন বাঙালিদের জন্য ছিল এক অবিস্মরনীয় দিন। এই দিনে বাঙালি জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান স্বাধীনতার ঘোষনা দেন। যা বাঙালি জাতির জন্য ছিল মুক্তির দলিল। কিন্তু রাতে তাকে পাকিস্তানিরা গ্রেফতার করে নিয়ে যায়। কিন্তু তার এই স্বাধীনতার ডাক থেমে থাকে নি।

২৬ শে মার্চ প্রথম প্রহরে চট্টগ্রাম কালুরঘাট বেতার কেন্দ্র থেকে এমএ হান্নান এই ঘোষনা আবার পাঠ করেন। যার কারনে পুরো দেশ সহ বাইরের কয়েকটি দেশ এই ঘোষনা শুনেছিল। এই ঘোষনা শোনার পর বাঙালিরা নতুন করে যুদ্ধে ঝাপিয়ে পড়ে এবং ছিনিয়ে আনে তাদের স্বাধীনতা। এরপর থেকে প্রতি বছর ২৬ শে মার্চ আমরা আমাদের স্বাধীনতা দিবস হিসেবে পালন করে থাকি।

আমরা সবাই মিলে এই দিনটি উদযাপন করবো। সবাইকে জানান দিবো বাংলার মুক্তিযুদ্ধের ইতিহাস, ২৬ শে মার্চের সারমর্ম, ২৬ শে মার্চের ঐক্য সম্পর্কে সবাইকে উদ্বুদ্ধ করবো। এই বলে আমি আমার সংক্ষিপ্ত বক্তব্য শেষ করছি। আসসালামু আলাইকুম।

Today My topic is about 26th March or Independence Day. We all are know about the year of 1971. How much inhuman torture West Pakistanis have done to our country and its people. But we Bengalis did not tolerate their torture. We have taken away our freedom by protesting against their injustice.

After the partition of the country in 1947, our country passed into the hands of Pakistanis. Then the two countries were named East Pakistan and West Pakistan. Since then the people of our country have been tortured by the Pakistanis. March 25, 1971 was an historical day for Bengalis.

On this day, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the father of the Bengali nation declared for our independence. Which was a document of liberation for the Bengali nation. But he was arrested by the Pakistanis at night. But his awarenesss for freedom did’t stop.

MA Hannan read out this announcement from Chittagong Kalurghat Betar Kendro in the early hours of 26th March. Due to which the entire country including some outside countries heard this announcement. After hearing this declaration, the Bengalis again rushed to war and took away their freedom.

Since then we are the Bangali people celebrate 26th March every year as our Independence Day. I will inform everyone about the history of the Liberation War of Bengal, the essence of March 26, and I will encourage everyone about the unity of March 26. With this I conclude my brief statement. আজকে ২৬ শে মার্চ। আমাদের স্বাধীনতা দিবস। প্রথমেই শ্রদ্ধার সাথে স্মরন করি বাঙালি জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে। যিনি স্বাধীনতার ডাক না দিলে হয়তোবা আমরা এই স্বাধীন দেশে স্বাধীনভাবে থাকতে পারতাম না। আরোও স্মরন করি সেই মহান মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের যাদের রক্তের বিনিময়ে আমরা আজ এই স্থানে স্বাধীনভাবে বসে আছি।

আমরা স্বাধীনভাবে চলাফেরা করতে পারছি, জীবনযাপন করতে পারছি। ১৯৭১ সাল যা বাংলার ইতিহাসে একইসাথে কলংকের এবং বিজয়ের। ১৯৪৭ সালের পর থেকে বাঙালির প্রতিটি ধাপে পাকিস্তানিদের হাতে নির্যাতিত হতে হয়েছে, মৃত্যুর মত কঠিন বিষয়কে সাদরে গ্রহন করতে হয়েছে।

১৯৫২ সালের ভাষা আন্দোলন, ১৯৬৯ সালের গণঅভ্যুত্থান, ১৯৭০ এর নির্বাচন এবং সবশেষে ১৯৭১ সালের মহান বিজয়। এই প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে বাঙালিদের সহ্য করতে হয়েছে অমানবিক নির্যাতন। ১৯৭১ সালের নির্বাচন, পাকিস্তানিদের অত্যাচার, বিভিন্ন নিয়ম-কানুন যা বাঙ্গালিদের জন্য অনেক কষ্টের কারন হয়ে দাঁড়ায়।

যার কারনে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান স্বাধীনতার এই ঘোষনাপত্র চারটি দফাসহ পাকিস্তানীদের কাছে প্রকাশ করেন। কিন্তু এই ঘটনার পর বঙ্গবন্ধুকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। কিন্তু তার পরেও এই ঘোষনা থেমে থাকেনি। চট্টগ্রামের কালুরঘাট বেতার কেন্দ্র থেকে এম.এ হান্নান বাংলা এবং ইংরেজিতে এই ঘোষনাপত্র পাঠ করেন।

যার কারনে আমাদের দেশের মানুষ সহ বাইরের বিভিন্ন দেশের মানুষও এই ভাষন শোনেন। এই ঘোষণা শোনার পর এবং বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে জেল থেকে মুক্তির দাবিতে পূর্ব বাংলার মাটিতে বিক্ষোভ নেমে আসে। বাঙালি জাতির সেই সময়ের আগ্রাসন দেখে পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানিরা বঙ্গবন্ধুকে ছেড়ে দেয় এবং স্বাধীনতার এই ঘোষনাপত্রকে মেনে নিতে বাধ্য হয়।

তারপর থেকে আমরা প্রতি বছর আমাদের স্বাধীনতা দিবস হিসেবে পালন করি। আমরা ২৬ শে মার্চের চেতনাকে ধরে রাখবো, অন্তরে লালন করব এবং পরবর্তী প্রজন্মকে ২৬ শে মার্চের চেতনা দ্বারা উদ্বুদ্ধ করবো। এই বলে আমি আমার বক্তব্য শেষ করছি। সবার জন্য রইলো স্বাধীনতা দিবসের শুভেচ্ছা। সবাই ভালো থাকবেন, সুস্থ থাকবেন। আসসালামু আলাইকুম।

Today is March 26. Our Independence Day. First of all, I remember with respect for the father of the Bengali nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. If he didn’t aware for freedom, maybe we wouldn’t be able to live freely in this free country. We also remember those great freedom fighters whose blood we are sitting freely in this place today.

We are able to move and live freely. 1971 is a year of disgrace and victory in the history of Bengal. Since 1947, Bengalis have been tortured by Pakistanis at every step, accepting our death. The language movement of 1952, the popular uprising of 1969, the elections of 1970 and finally the great victory of 1971.

In each of every cases Bengalis had to endure inhumane torture. Elections of 1971, persecution of Pakistanis, various rules and regulations which caused a lot of suffering for Bengalis. Because of which Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman published this declaration of independence with four points to the Pakistanis. But after this incident, Bangabandhu was arrested.

But even after that this announcement did not stop. MA Hannan from Kalurghat Betar Kendro, Chittagong read out this announcement in Bengali and English. Due to which the people of our country and other countries also listen to this speech. After hearing this announcement and demanding the release of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from jail, protests broke out in East Bengal.

Seeing the aggression of the Bengali nation at that time, the West Pakistanis abandoned Bangabandhu and were forced to accept this declaration of independence. Since then we celebrate it as our Independence Day every year. We will hold the spirit of March 26, cherish in our hearts and inspire the next generation with the spirit of March 26. ২৬ শে মার্চ বাংলার ইতিহাসে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তাৎপর্য বহন করে। কারন এই ২৬ শে মার্চের ইতিহাসের কয়েকটি ধাপ রয়েছে যা বাঙালি জাতির জন্য অত্যন্ত সম্মানের, শ্রদ্ধার এবং স্বাধীনভাবে বাঁচার। নিম্নে ২৬ শে মার্চের তাৎপর্য সম্পর্কে আলোচনা করা হলো। তাৎপর্য নিম্নরুপঃ

• ২৫ শে মার্চ রাতে পাকিস্তানিরা পূর্ব বাংলার মানুষদের ওপর হামলা করে অনেক বাঙ্গালিকে হত্যা করে। এর প্রতিবাদে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান ২৬ শে মার্চ বাঙালির জন্য স্বাধীনতার ঘোষনা দেন। এই ঘোষনা ছিল বাঙালির মুক্তির দলিল।
• ১৯৭১ সালে দীর্ঘ নয় মাসের নির্যাতনে পূর্ব বাংলার মানুষকে নির্বিচারে হত্যা, ধর্ষণ ইত্যাদি মানবিক সংকট তৈরি করেছিল।
• নতুন এক জাতি গঠন হয়েছে এই ১৯৭১ সালে। যা বাঙালির নবজাগরনের সুচনাকে ইংগিত করে।
• ১৯৭১ সালের স্বাধীনতা এবং বিজয় দিবসের কারনে আমাদের মানবাধিকারের দিক উন্মুক্ত করেছে।
• ২৬ শে মার্চের স্বাধীনতা দিবসের পর এবং বিজয় লাভের পর নতুন একটি জাতি হিসেবে আমরা পরিচিতি পেয়েছি।
